Animations are ready-made moving graphics you can customize. Click Animation in the Add to your project row above the panel to open Select Animation, and hover over any card to see it move.
- Decorative: backgrounds and celebrations, like Party Time, Balloons, Boom, Rays, Shutter Grid and the Wavy designs.
- Shapes: moving shapes, the Blob Maker, and data graphics like Ring Counter, Gauge, Pie, Rating Stars and Progress Bar.
- Text: animated words and letters, like Leaping Letters, Letter Drop, Word Stack Stir, Glitch Text and Counter.
- Media: animations built from your photos and clips, like carousels, Phone Spread, Media Wheel and Media Shatter.
Customizing an animation
Choosing an animation opens its settings, titled with the animation's name, next to a live preview. The settings depend on the animation — Party Time has a color for each kind of confetti, plus its shape, size and speed. The Animate switch pauses the preview, and the slider next to it picks the moment a paused animation holds on. Click Add to put it in your project, and Replace at the bottom of the dialog to choose a different animation.
Once it's added, the animation's panel has an Edit … Settings button that reopens the same dialog, where the action button now reads Update. Media animations hold a list of photos or clips: click + to add one and × to remove one.
Everything else about an animation works like any other object: drag it to move it, drag a corner to resize it, set Layer to put it behind your text, and use Enter on second and Exit after second for its timing video only.
