The Blob Maker

Generate animated or still blob shapes and download a GIF, SVG or PNG, or use one in a video or image.

The Blob Maker generates smooth, organic blob shapes that move.

  1. Press New for a new random blob. Keep pressing until you like the shape.
  2. Choose a Color from the palette, or a custom color on the Spectrum tab.
  3. Drag Smoothness right for a smoother shape or left for a bumpier one.
  4. Under Motion, set the Period (seconds per cycle) and Easing, or switch Animate off.
  5. Press Export to download an animated GIF, a transparent PNG or a scalable SVG.

Using a blob in a video or image

Use In Video and Use In Image open a new project in a new tab, with your blob on the canvas, sized to the closest video shape. In the video editor, the blob is an animation: its Edit Settings button reopens these controls.

Press Link to copy a URL that reopens your exact blob.
