The editor works on phones, though a computer or tablet gives you far more room. Hold the phone upright; the editor asks you to rotate it if you turn it sideways.
The screen
- The canvas fills most of the screen, with the timeline and the play button along the bottom video only.
- A row of buttons sits under the canvas: Add, Layers, Backdrop and Music video only.
- Save and Publish are in the bar at the top video only.
Adding and editing
Add opens Text, Media, Animation and Object, the same four as on a computer. Tap an object on the canvas, or tap Layers to see everything at that second, and its settings slide up from the bottom of the screen.
The settings sheet covers the lower half of the screen and the canvas slides up so you can still see what you're changing. Drag the sheet's handle, or tap the ×, to close it. Moving or resizing an object on the canvas closes the sheet so nothing is in the way.
Help and sharing
Help and Share are in the Tools menu on a phone, to keep the button row short.
The image editor works the same way, with a shorter row: there's no Backdrop or Music, no timeline, and the
orange button is Download.
